We have been supplying Chalk Paint ™ decorative paint by Annie Sloan from our shop since 2011, which is now part of our sister business, Bee's Knees Interiors, situated at the rear of The Cat's Whiskers. Here we run One-Day Furniture Painting Workshops, to enable our customers to get the best out of this wonderful paint.
We provide all paints and waxes, tools and aprons, tea, coffee and biscuits, and a light lunch, and will give you 10% off everything you buy at the shop on the day of the course. We will also give you a Privilege Card which entitles you to 10% off paint, wax, brushes and books bought from the Cat's Whiskers - forever! Additionally, every time somebody books one of our courses on your recommendation you will both receive a small pot of paint. The more people you recruit the more paint we will give you to play with!
You are asked to bring a small piece of furniture which you will be able to transform in the afternoon, using the techniques you will have learnt in the morning. Alternatively, why not have your own private paint party? If you get four people together we'll run a private Paint Techniques course for you on a day of your choice, and only charge half price for you as the organiser, in addition to the benefits mentioned above. Ideal for a range of celebrations!
There will be a maximum of four people on each course, to allow for lots of individual attention, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Booking and payments can be taken in the shop or over the phone.

I had a lovely day on at the Annie Sloan course on Sunday and I'm really really pleased with my little cupboard. Thank you both for your enthusiasm and passion and fun. I am scouring every nook and cranny now for other projects.

Thank you for a great day at the Annie Sloan course on Sunday, something completly different and creative! Each person on the course painted a piece of their own furniture, with tuition from Dave who guided us in the different techniques in painting with Annie Sloan paints, then left us to our own inspiration's. They all looked good, all very different, it was a fun day too, with lunch included, most of us on the chalk paint course had never painted anything before, but it is quite addictive and I am sure we will be painting again.

I really enjoyed the Annie Sloan Paint Workshop on Sunday. My newly painted furniture looks fantastic in the living room. I'll definitely be popping back into the Marlborough Furniture Shop for some additional furniture to practice my new painting Skills.
